Student Exchange

Student exchange is possible after the first study year and also more than once during higher education. Length of the exchange period is 3 – 12 months. PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences participates in ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) accepted by the European Union which guarantees full recognition of studies taken abroad.

The annual application period is 1st January - 15th February (annually, for the following academic year) and the application form will be available in the Quality Manual of PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences at the beginning of the application period. Applications submitted by the deadline are considered by the international team and a confirmed list of approved applications is issued by the end of February. A joint orientation session is arranged annually for all outgoing students from all the local universities. Students also complete a virtual course in preparation for the exchange period and submit a learning report after the exchange.

Students institution receive a grant which covers part of the travel and studying costs. Outgoing exchange students are also entitled to the KELA Centre for Student Financial Aid´s financial aid and its housing supplement for students.

Students fill in the ECTS Student application form and ECTS Learning agreement and return them to the international office at least 4 months before the intended beginning of the exchange, usually by mid-May (autumn exchanges) and by the beginning of October (spring exchanges).
