Occupational Health and Safety

Students´ occupational health and safety is based on the Occupational Safety and Health Act 738/2002. Supervision of occupational health and safety concerns laboratory and field work and other practical training included in the curricula.

The act 1318/2002 enacts on compensation of injuries and illnesses originating in study-related conditions parallel to work.

PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences has an occupational safety commission. The labour protection manager is Director of Education Marja-Riitta Heikkinen and the labour protection delegate is Senior Lecturer Hannele Rapatti (Health Care).

In occupational health and safety issues, contacts primarily to the labour protection ombudsman of the unit.
