Student Lunch

Student lunch is provided in each location of PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences. There are student restaurants where students can eat lunch at a reasonable price of about 3 EUR. Students studying at the higher education institutions in Finland get a discount from the student restaurant prices by presenting their student identity card or Social Insurance Institution’s (KELA) meal supplement card. Students taking a higher education degree on a full-time basis and the postgraduate or continuing education students who are eligible for student financial aid are entitled to the meal supplement in student restaurants.

Lunch time depends on the restaurant. The restaurants provide two main course alternatives, either vegetable or meat meal with potatoes, rice or macaroni. Salad is usually included in the price as well as one glass of milk, juice or water and a couple of slices of bread with butter. Some restaurants offer little extras, like coffee or tea, with the meal or day’s soup as a third meal choice at lower price. Some restaurants also sell coffee and tea, lemonade, candies, sandwiches, desserts and much more.
