Checklist for Graduating Students

Please note that there may be some differences between the units.

  • make sure well before graduating that you have completed all compulsory courses in all study modules and enough elective studies and that their grades / other assessment have been entered into WINHA
  • deliver the filled application for the degree certificate at least three weeks before the planned graduation time (graduation day is usually the 21st of each month)
  • get the English abstract of your thesis checked
  • hand over the cased-in pieces of your thesis, one to the library and the other for filing
  • deliver the summary and abstract of your thesis into the library of your school in electronic format either on disc or as an email attachment according to the usual practice of the unit
  • remember to take the maturity test
  • fill in the Opala-feedback survey which is available in address http://opala.ncp.fi
  • let the study office know your possible new address and phone number
  • discuss your work situation with your teacher / tutor teacher (if you have already got a job, he/she would be happy to know about it)
  • when you have received an email concerning alumni activity, remember that you have 30 days time to confirm your personal details to the alumni register (instructions will be found from the email)
  • remember that your right to use PIRAMK’s e-mail services will expire on your graduation day, so save your important mails and attachments for later use
  • return the keys and equipment you have borrowed
  • take care of the loans falling due in the library of PIRAMK
  • return the books or other material you have borrowed to the person you have borrowed it from
