The main task of the board is to develop the operation of
the polytechnic. It makes the proposals of action and economic plan and budget
of PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences to PIRAMK University of Applied
Sciences Ltd according to the Polytechnics Act (the act is only in Finnish) and Government Decree on Polytechnics
(only in Finnish). Some other tasks of the board
according to the Polytechnics Act are the distribution of grants, setting the
common development teams of PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences, approving
the regulations and rules, approving some parts of the performance agreement
made with the Ministry of
Education (in English).
Furthermore, the board approves the curricula of degree-awarding education. The
Ministry of Education has confirmed the degree programmes of PIRAMK University
of Applied Sciences.
