Academic Year 2009–2010
The academic year at PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences is divided into
two semesters; the autumn semester from August to December and the spring
semester from January to the beginning of June. These semesters are divided
into four study periods.
The beginning times of the degree programmes are planned according to the
framework below so that student's workload is 60 credit points in academic year
divided regularly to the 40 working weeks (including the practical training
periods).
Students' working time settles mainly during 10 August 2009
– 4 June 2010.
Starting and ending dates vary slightly among degree programmes.
Beginning of studies of new degree students:
- autumn 24 August 2009
- spring 11 January 2010.

Opening ceremony
The PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences' Opening ceremony of
academic year 2009-2010 is held on Wednesday 26 August 2009 from 1 p.m..
Graduating ceremonies
Graduating ceremonies are held on Friday 18 December 2009 and Friday
28 May 2010 from 12 noon.
Degree certificates are signed and granted on:
- 28 August 2009
- 18 December 2009
- 28 May 2010
- 18 June 2010
- In other months on the 21st of each month or if this is on weekend on
the following working day.
- Degree certificates are not granted in July.
