Exploitation of modern information and communication techniques has become a natural part of teaching and studying. Every student in PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences gets a user name to PIRAMK's web learning base Moodle. Courses can be carried out totally in the web learning base or can be used with lecture teaching as a learning environment or for example as information channel.
Students will sign in by using user names and passwords. Student's user name is the student number (for example 0500000).

PIRAMK's virtual studies (only in Finnish at the moment) can be completed in degree programmes' virtual courses. The list can be found from the Study Guide in Finnish.
The learning outcomes and objectives are the same as in lectures. The student's workload is also the same as in traditional teaching. The studying is, however, more flexible, but still there is some kind of timetable. Virtual studying gives more freedom with the study place: studies can be done whereever is an internet connection.
Virtual studying includes usually lots of tasks, getting familiar with literature, given material or links and participating in web conversations. Virtual studies may include individual, pair or group work.
Finnish Online of Universities of Applied Sciences
At the Portal of the Finnish Online University of Applied Sciences you can find courses offered by the universities of applied sciences. The flexible study right means that you can choose courses from any Finnish university of applied sciences.The aim of the network is to produce and offer high-level and competitive educational services and study modules.
Every student can complete courses or study modules through Finnish Online University of Applied Sciences if a resource allocation has been done and if it fits to the students personal study plan. Completing study modules in Finnish Online University of Applied Sciences is free of charge for the students.
The course supply and signing in to the courses will be done through portal of Finnish Online of Universities of Applied Sciences.
National University and Finnish Polytechnic Network for East and Southeast Asian Studies
Finnish Universities, in total 20, and institutions of higher education, in total 29, are creating the National University Network for East and Southeast Asian Studies and the Finnish Polytechnic Network for East and Southeast Asia. Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences coordinates the Finnish Polytechnic Network the goal of which is to promote education, research and person exchange.
The network organises courses and study modules which can be found from the portal of Finnish Online University of Applied Sciences.

eStudy Office
eStudy office is "an instruction point" of virtual study issues of PIRAMK Univeristy of Applied Sciences. The eStudy office gives information about the matters concerning the using of the virtual polytechnic's portal, for example signing in or cancelling participation.
eStudy office handles the applications students have filled in in the portal of virtual polytechnic.
