Student Feedback

Student feedbacks form an important part of PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences´ quality, assessment and feedback system. Course feedback is a means for giving feedback on course implementations to the teacher in charge. Other student feedbacks are discussed annually in the performance analysis of degree programmes. Thus, they are significant channels in affecting the development of teaching and curricula.

Course Feedback

After each course, it is possible to give feedback through the electronic feedback system in the intranet of PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences. Intranet identifications are used to log into the feedback system (username is the student number and password the intranet password).

Logging in helps the system to recognise students´ courses. The teacher can also remind students of giving feedback by “starting a questionnaire”, which sends the link of the feedback form to course participants by email. Identity of the feedback giver cannot be seen in the answers.

Annual Student Feedback (www.piramk.fi/feedback)

All students are asked to give feedback on studying in PIRAMK University of Applied Sciences annually in January-February. The feedback maps study experiences of the preceding study year. No logging in is needed to give the feedback.

OPALA

OPALA is a common and uniform student feedback collection system of polytechnics and Ministry of Education. All graduating students fill in the OPALA-form in their graduation month. OPALA-feedback maps experiences of the whole polytechnic studies.

Identification for logging into OPALA consists of winha number and date of birth (ddmmyy) without spaces.

Please take into consideration when filling in the OPALA-form:

  • Students´ respondent identifications disappear from OPALA only when the last page of the questionnaire has been sent and the answer has been saved to the database. If you interrupt filling in the form pages, you have to start from the beginning. OPALA does not remember anything that has been filled in on earlier occasions.
  • If you answer to the OPALA-questionnaire on your home computer, check that Javascript is in use in the internet options. Use of Javascript can be checked in the menu (Explorer browser): Tools -> Internet options, interleaf ”Advanced”
